| This is a whole mount of an invasive carcinoma of the breast. It invades in a radial fashion to form a three dimensional spherical mass within the breast. When it reaches a certain size, it will become "palpable," and may be felt by either the woman or her physician. The emphasis nowadays is to find these cancers before they become palpable. |
